Build economy on renewables
Philosophy
2021
Serving our society with foods and other enjoyments, again taking inspiration from nature, we have to use renewables as our scarce non-renewables will become scarcer and scarcer and scarcer until they won’t be available anymore.
Building a society on finite resources is as we have seen a recipe for destruction. Finite resources should be used with extreme care, reserved for purposes that serve mankind best and we should reuse and recycle as much as possible and ultimately deal with the unavoidable waste.
This advice concerns also in high degree renewable resources because as soil erosion, deforestation and overfishing have showed when we overuse them they have a limit as well. If we overconsume them they cannot replenish and we literally turn them into finite resources.
Renewables also have an outer areal limit because our renewable they need space to grow on and we have to find a steady-state where we adjust our economy to the ability of our ecosystem to replenish its valuable resources, the renewables.
