Understand that we are the companies and make them work for us
Probably one of the best examples of how we human beings cocreate our reality with the world is the idea of the company.
Since its modern form was invented in the 16th century it has grown into one of the most, if not the most, powerful economic institution and influences the everyday life of every person on this planet.
It is easily forgotten under the economic and cultural power they exhort that it is just an idea that worked, formed from the need to finance larger enterprises, like the railroads in the 18the century. Now with the physicality with their big office skyscraper, their enticing logotypes and bright luring commercials it seems nothing can be done to their power.
When that powerlessness feeling hits you, remember that it is just an idea. It is an idea that was forbidden in the UK for 100 years after the South Sea Company bubble that even fooled one of the brightest mind of the time Sir Isaac Newton. An idea that, to continue to function, need our support in form of buying it and supporting it rights given by us to it through society.
The idea worked greatly in giving us, again some of us, not all, not all at all, some great products and services but many times its business has been built on increasing inequality, keeping the poor poor and destroying the planet. For us human beings to prosper within limits we need to embrace the challenge for our imagination to transform as so that it better suits our current needs.
There will probably mean a change of the goal the companies pursue, a change in the organization they purse their goal with and how they view their fellow corporate friends. Saying it with a bubbly company slogan
